EMPTY SPACE + INFINITE TIME = SHUNYA

Shunya...

Why after all I had to chose a word that means 'Zero' or Nothing as a Display Name for my Blog? Hope I don't get a zero in your assessment of my writing capabilities or intellectual prowess...

The word 'Sunya' which I have altered here as 'Shunya' was first supposedly used by Buddha to explain eternal emptiness and mathematically it is supposedly used by Aryabhatta to denote the numerical zero. Aryabhatta never used Numerical forms in his works but used words.

I was searching for a web reference to support what I believe in and I would like to quote two web references. The first one is from 'www.dictionary.com' and the second one from the online encyclopedia 'Wikipedia'.

The online dictionary suggests the meaning of 'Sunya' as "that which exists absolutely and without predication" and while wikipedia had lot to offer I noted here the etymological reference as it says "Śūnyatā (Sanskrit) holds the semantic field of 'emptiness' and is the noun form of 'Shunya' (Sanskrit) which holds the semantic field 'zero', literally zero 'ness'.

The whole point being everything in this world is like 'Shunya', absolute yet not absolute. I say so because 'Shunya' is something which can not be defined yet it can not be denied. It's like Empty Space, it's emptiness can not be determined and it's existence can not be questioned. And it is like Infinite Time, it's finiteness can't be calculated and it's presence can't be questioned. Together they form 'Shunya'. Even If we consider the usual shape considered of 'Zero' it's a circle or an oval, the more appropriate term may be epileptic. How does one can ever determine the beginning and ending point of this figure? 'Shunya' preached by 'Buddha' is not 'Nihilism' and I am glad that it is not so (Before I was worried that it may be so and I was not satisfied with the concept) I am not in a position to support the statement "Shunya preached by Buddha is not Nihilism" as i would liked to not because I am wrong but because of my growing knowledge pertaining to the subject. Nevertheless, if any doubt or question arises in your mind do feel free to ask me and I will endeavor to satisfy you with my answers.

The whole point of my writing all this and the whole point of me making "Shunya" my display name is that whatever will follow in my blog will be Shunya to you in some sense. It may become universe for you, It may add another dimension to your world, It may add another point(not decimal point necessarily) in your outlook, It may seem truth to you, It may be a matter of debate or discussion, or It may be a crap, equal to ZERO. Whatever it may be, it would be Shunya to you. FOR THOSE WHO JUST GLANCE THROUGH MY BLOG AND NEVER READ IT REMEMBER 'SHUNYA IS NOT NIHILISM'(or for NIHILIST in this case) :-)
